Words & a Pic – December 9

It’s summertime and Christmas time. Living in the southern hemisphere can be confusing for our North American emotions and expectations.I hear kids playing around the pool to the background of carols.

Yet, we are never confused by the support we have from you. We know that Nazarenes around the world are praying for us no matter what the weather. One Kitchen windowreminder of that came this week.

Each year the Northside Church of the Nazarene in Fort Worth, Texas (USA) sends Nazarene missionaries a gift package including an ornament for our tree.

This year we’ve decided to put it in the kitchen window instead as a year-long reminder of all ya’ll (as they would say). We appreciate all of you who read this weekly update and keep us in your heart, mind and prayers each week. Thank you!

We will be traveling on Wednesdays for the next several weeks and so we won’t publish another Words & a Pic until 2016.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Terrorist attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, California – like the flame of a Bunsen clean-your-garbage-canburner in a high school chemistry lab – are heating things up, stoking collective anger. Can explosive reactions be far behind?

“The Apostle Paul knew how destructive unchecked anger could be. He was determined to throw water on the fire, not gasoline. …”
